Kayman Takes a Leap for Kai
My friends know me and I always want a great time. After a messy start to college, thanks to my ex-boyfriend, who had secrets everywhere. I had to come face to face with many of his side conquests daily. I was so focused on making that relationship work that I lost myself. It wasn’t until a mutual friend sat me down to tell me the ugly truth. It was a tough pill to swallow, but I did what needed to be done.
Now that the sorry bastard is out of my life for good. I am back to living my life the way I want. When I caught wind of this homecoming party a Frat was throwing. I knew it was an opportunity to enjoy myself to the fullest. There is a guy that I have had my eye on for a while, so I have to make an appearance.
He also happens to be an athlete as well. Kayman is the quarterback of our football team and is hot as shit. I would have made a move sooner, but I decided to focus on school. With a full ride, I have to stay on top of my grades at all times.
My breakup with Izzy didn’t change that either. Sure I was hurt and a little depressed, but it made me work harder. Izzy depended on me to help him along, so it made me feel good when he dropped out and went on his way. We were both pursuing the same major, but I think he just chose the major because he knew I wouldn’t let him fail. Once I found out just how unfaithful he was. It was to hell with him and anything to do with him. I don’t hate him, but he wasn’t getting any more assistance from me.
The big game is tomorrow night against our school rival, so you can feel the energy on campus. Everyone has been showing their school pride and the campus has turned into a beehive. I welcome the change in energy. The competitive nature of the school is contagious. The Football Team, Cheerleading Squad, Band, and the Faculty have everyone energized.
A group of friends sit with me and some other students in the courtyard as the football team takes the time to meet and greet us.
“The only reason you are here is to get up close to Kayman,” Charles says from behind me.
“I am here to support our team for this big game. This is a big deal and I want to be a part of the tradition.” I say, trying to hide a laugh.
“Since when do you care about tradition?” Charles and Veronica say simultaneously.
“You guys don’t know me that well. I love a good tradition. Hush Kayman is speaking.” I say glaring at them.
I can hear them both laugh behind me and I try my best to focus on my main reason for being here.
“Hello ladies and gentlemen, thank you for joining us today. As you all know, tomorrow is a big game for us. We go up against our rival and look to continue our undefeated streak against them.” He says in a deep, husky, sexy voice that makes my body vibrate with energy.
As he lets the words fall over the crowd. He looks out in the crowd and catches my eye contact and I almost lose it. I have some effect on him also because he stops like he is caught in a trance.
“Oooo looks like you aren’t the only one who has noticed an attraction,” Veronica says over my shoulder.
“He is so fine.” That is all I can say without breaking eye contact.
Breaking from the trance, he continues, “You all play a vital role in our success. As your quarterback, I assure you that your efforts and presence at the games do not go unnoticed. I appreciate you all for supporting us. As a team, we want to make you all proud. I want to turn it over to our team captain, Anthony.” Kayman says before we all begin to clap.
As Kayman and Anthony trade places, Kayman looks in my direction one last time with a smile. I smile back in response and give him a thumbs up.
